About Me.

My name is Sean Smyth and I’m a web developer with a passion for data analysis. I previously worked in the fast-paced, deadline driven industry of equity trading. As the industry changed over the past several years with the surge of passive investing and automated trading I began to think about tying my passions to my career. I have always loved data analysis and logic puzzles since I was a child reading the back of baseball cards. Software development is an exciting opportunity to engage these passions in a creative manner. I have strong communication and problem solving skills with prior experience as a business analyst in the software implementation process. I am a highly motivated self-starter who is fully committed to proving himself in a new career.

A web application similar to Stack Overflow designed for current and perspective coding bootcamp students. The project was the capstone Group Project at the New York Code and Design Academy. The application was built on Ruby On Rails, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap.
